The Internet is dragging Simone Biles for posting vacation photos after being hospitalized and “almost dying”. The Olympic gymnast was on her death bed just 8 days before she went on vacation to Belize with her husband, Jonathan Owens.

Simone, 29, wrote in her Instagram Stories on June 6: “I’m not one to normally share things like this because I value privacy in today’s age. But almost dying wasn’t on my bingo card earlier this week.”

She shared a photo of her hospital wristbands while explaining, “This was one of, if not the scariest experience of my life. Especially since Jonathan was in Indy for practices.”

She added: “I’ve been in bed resting this week, I’ll explain sooner or later but s/o to my close circle who reached out, checked in, visited & or sent flowers… loooovveeee y’all.”

Simone never explained how she almost died. The lack of information after her dramatic post left fans feeling worried and manipulated.

Just 8 days later, Simone and Jonathan left on their trip to Belize. She shared several bikini-clad pictures on Instagram. In one photo caption, she wrote, “relaxing in paradise.”

Some fans called Simone out for not explaining her medical emergency and leaving her fans concerned. “Never got the update on near death experience,” one fan wrote. Simone responded from poolside in Belize, writing, “not ready to talk about it just yet.”

On Thursday, June 18, another Instagram follower questioned why she went on vacation so soon after near-death experience. The person wrote: “Almost died but look at these traveling selfies….”

Simone clapped back at the user, writing, “Ugh these comments make me sad. a little over two weeks ago, I experienced a serious medical emergency that could have ended very differently, and this trip has been part of allowing myself to heal & appreciate being here.”

She continued: “I hope you understand that life changing experiences can shift your perspective. & that you’re able to extend a little more grace to others moving forward have a nice day!”

Fans expressed their frustration with Simone in the comments. One person wrote: “It’s annoying to tease a bit of information. Tell a complete story or be quiet.”

Another person wrote: “Near death experience? Could be one of two things, she either broke a nail, or her boob job flopped.”

A third person commented: “So sick of hearing about her!! She’s become so entitled!!”

A fourth person wrote: “Yes, she values her privacy. That’s why she’s on Instagram. (rolls eyes).”
