Blue Ivy switched up her hairstyle while celebrating the 30th anniversary of Jay-Z’s seminal debut album, Reasonable Doubt<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Beyonc\u00e9 shared a 7-minute infomercial showing Jay-Z’s hair transformation. “Jay told me a few months ago he was planning on combing out his locs for the Philly show with The Roots,” she explained in her familiar raspy voice.<\/p>\n

“I thought it was always beautiful that the real reason Jay grew out his hair was to show Blue that her hair was like this,” Beyonc\u00e9 claimed. “Our daughter was about five, and she wasn’t feeling very confident about her hair at that time. When she told her father that, it inspired Jay to grow out his hair. We really wanted her to love and embrace every inch of her gorgeous curls.”<\/p>\n

Apparently, Blue isn’t inspired by Jay-Z’s afro. Photos taken at the Jay-Z30 pop-up store show Blue wearing a long braid extension similar to the one her mother rocked. It’s clear that Blue gets her hair inspiration from her mother, Beyonc\u00e9 – not her dad.<\/p>\n

The 14-year-old wore a light gray Fear of God Jay-Z hoodie with Jaded London jeans, and black boots.<\/p>\n

Beyonce’s video sparked debates over whether Jay-Z is wearing a lacefront wig. Fans spotted discrepancies such as his changing hairline and different hair lengths throughout the video.<\/p>\n

Jay-Z is very sensitive about all the hair chatter. Former Hot 97 radio host Ebro Darden said<\/a><\/strong> he received a text from Jay-Z thanking him for denying the lacefront wig rumors.<\/p>\n

“He texted me because he saw a clip of us talking about the hair convo, Ebro said, referring to an earlier episode of his podcast. “He was like, ‘Yo, man, I really appreciate that convo. That’s dope.'”<\/p>\n
