Photos: Screengrab<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A Georgia man reportedly died from a heart attack while dragging his dead girlfriend&#8217;s body through the Alabama woods.<\/p>\n<p>A motorist Called 911 to report a truck parked in the middle of County Road 86 in Lanett on June 10. The truck was still running, with one door open and the tailgate down, according to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.al.com\/crime\/2026\/06\/georgia-man-dies-of-heart-attack-while-dumping-woman-he-strangled-in-alabama-woods-da-says.html\" target=\"_blank\">AL.com<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies arrived and found the bodies of Jessica Folds, 47, of Lanett, Alabama, and Daniel Robbins, 44, of Macon, Georgia, in the woods near County Road 86.<\/p>\n<p>Folds was lying on her back with her hands above her head. Robbins was found in a fetal position next to her. Robbins was Folds&#8217; boyfriend, Chambers County District Attorney Mike Segrest said, according to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.al.com\/crime\/2026\/06\/georgia-man-dies-of-heart-attack-while-dumping-woman-he-strangled-in-alabama-woods-da-says.html\" target=\"_blank\">AL.com<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Autopsies determined that Folds died of strangulation and Robbins died of a heart attack from the exertion of dragging her body through the woods.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies found the bodies around 12:20 p.m., the Chambers County Alabama Sheriff&#8217;s Office said in a statement. There were signs of drag marks on the ground near the bodies.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Based on the investigation by ALEA [Alabama Law Enforcement Agency] and the Chambers County Sheriff&#8217;s Office, and the autopsy done by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, the female victim was strangled, and it appears the male was attempting to dispose of the body in a remote location,&#8221; Segrest said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He died of a heart attack while doing it,&#8221; Segrest added. &#8220;Their bodies were right there together.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Folds is preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Folds, and her father, Keith Walters.
